This is a very rare Longines in totally unrestored, original condition. The enamel of the dial is as fresh as in 1929 when the watch was made. The luminous paint is 99 percent and only at number 10 is there some luminous paint missing. The 18 carat gold case has a monogram on the back and has been left unpolished to retain its rich gold patina. The case has flexible lugs at 6 and 12 o clock with no signs of wear. The hinged case back and inner cover are both hallmarked 18 carat, and again, there is no repair. The movement is signed Longines and B and Co, who, at the time, was the importer of Longines watches in the UK. In the 1920s and 30s Longines was one of the best watch manufactures and their watches became synonymous with the development of the aviation industry (Zeppelin Airships, Charles Lindhbergh, etc.)
