The Rolex Deepsea is named after the Deep Sea Special, a experimental Rolex watch developed in 1960 that travelled to the deepest point in the oceans, a depth of 10916 metres. The Rolex DEEPSEA is water resistant to a depth of 12800ft, the Ringlock System allows the case to withstand water pressure equivalent to a weight of 3 tonnes on the crystal. This model was made to commemorate the historic dive by James Cameron to the deepest place in the ocean - the Mariana Trench. The watch features a two tone dial that fades from blue to black with the wording DEEPSEA in a vibrant green - the same colour of Camerons submersible. In mint condition this Sea Dweller DEEPSEA D Blue is supplied with the original boxes, green superlative swing tag, instruction manual and warranty card. This watch is protected under the five year superlative Rolex warranty until August 2020.
