I recently bought an expensive Skagen SKW2140 Gitte watch online from theshop. It arrived without the clasp needed, on one end of the band, to snap it together. I was out of the country for more then a month but called customer service when I returned to either have the watch replaced or fixed. The very insulting supervisor of this division said the warranty only covered the watch mechanism-not parts and the best he could do was give me a $10 credit toward a future purchase. What? I spent 30 minutes waiting for assistance from, first, customer service and then another 20 minutes to talk to the disrespectful supervisor. The supervisor was not only unwilling to offer me a better solution - please, the watch was new and I was never able to even wear it - but escalated the conversation to yelling and finally hanging up on me. I tried to have a jewelry shop repair the watch but without the clasp it was impossible. What kind of a business is theshop if this is how they treat their customers? It may be cheaper to buy high end watches here, but beware if anything goes wrong.
