The case is made of two different types of titanium: the caseband is of grade 2 titanium, a perfect alloy for its lightness (40% lighter than steel), its resistance to corrosion and its potential for being worked with the most complex machining; the bezel and crown, on the other hand, are of grade 5 titanium, an alloy which differs from the previous one in that it can be polished, thus obtaining a sophisticated contrasting finish. The special Super-LumiNova® ecru gives the dial a vintage aspect which is perfectly suited to the watch, faithful in design and spirit to the period Panerai models, while completely embodying the technical solutions of today. Also evoking the past of the brand are the characteristic small seconds dial at 9 o’clock, a unique moving element of the minimalist dial. From the back, through the central sapphire window, the P.4000 calibre, completely designed and made in Panerai’s manufacture in Neuchâtel, can be admired.
