I had a pretty good experiance with theshop, I bought my first watch and I am really happy with it. I traced it every day and it went trough all facillities fluently it took about 8 businessdays to bad that i had to pay €31 extra for the border control and stuff like that but over all i had a pretty good experiance with theshop.

I ordered a watch for myself after graduating and planned to wear it to my new job. The box turned out to be empty when I picked it up from the shipping depot across the border (I am Canadian). I e-mailed to resolve the issue and received an unprofessional and inadequate response. This prompted me to call the customer service line, and I spoke with a very nice customer service representative about the issue. She initiated an investigation that same day and called me back within two days to let me know that they were willing to ship out a new watch. I asked if my watch could be shipped to my Canadian address with customs and duties covered, and she said that she'd have to check with a manager. I called just now and spoke with her again. She informed me that she was unable to ship it to a Canadian address and I asked if there was anything else she could do. She put me on with the manager, who started out the conversation in a friendly manner. He told me there was nothing he could do other than to ship the watch to the original address. I explained in a calm tone that I won't be ordering from theshop again and that my friends will not either, after hearing about my experiences. I was friendly when explaining this. He was clearly trying to be understanding with his words, but was being extremely condescending and kept saying "please keep that kind of thing out of this conversation, it doesn't help". I'm here writing this review to say that actually, it does help. It helps you as a company determine how exactly an empty box was shipped (my suggestion was warehouse workers stealing merchandise) and helps you as a company determine what exactly the consequences of shipping an empty box are (customers choosing not to order from theshop again). Part of customer service is listening to people complain. The ideal way to deal with me today would have been to sit and listen to what I had to say (which, again, was in a calm and professional tone) and proceed to do the only thing the company could do, which was ship out the watch. Instead, I had an earful of condescension, and felt like the manager had to win some kind of battle with me. I was so unhappy that I raised my voice toward the end of the phone call and hung up the phone (something that I literally haven't done since I was ten years old). I was not even remotely annoyed when I started the phone call- I was pleased that it seemed like I was going to get a new watch and that the company believed me. Sometimes, customer service is about swallowing your pride and listening to ridiculous things. The customer is not always right, but in today's case, I was, and I cannot believe how unhappy I am with this experience.
